Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms of Use explain the rules for using Zelli. By using Zelli, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1Who we are

Zelli is operated by Metroun Ltd.

You can contact us at:

support@zelli.app

2What Zelli does

Zelli is a personal finance tracking and educational app.

It helps you organise and understand things such as:

  • Bills and subscriptions
  • Budgets
  • Income
  • Savings
  • Debts
  • Assets
  • Mortgage details
  • Renewal dates
  • Net worth
  • Financial age and financial health estimates
  • General money-improvement checklists, including Money Boost
  • Personal admin notes and reference information

Zelli is designed to help you see your money picture more clearly.

3Zelli is not financial advice

Zelli does not provide financial, investment, pension, mortgage, tax, legal or regulated advice.

Any information, calculators, estimates, checklists, comparisons, prompts or insights provided by Zelli are for general information and educational purposes only.

Zelli does not know your full personal circumstances and does not recommend that you take, avoid or change any specific financial action.

Before making important financial, investment, mortgage, pension, tax or legal decisions, you should consider checking official guidance or speaking to a suitably qualified adviser.

4No guarantee of accuracy

Zelli is intended to help you organise information, but it relies on the information you enter.

You are responsible for checking that any figures, dates, categories, reminders, calculations and exported files are accurate.

We do our best to make Zelli useful and reliable, but we cannot guarantee that:

  • Calculations will always be accurate
  • Figures will always reflect your true financial position
  • Reminders will always be delivered or noticed
  • Comparisons or prompts will be suitable for you
  • The app will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free

You should not rely on Zelli as the only record of important financial, tax, mortgage, legal or personal admin information.

5Local device storage

Zelli is designed so that the information you enter is stored locally on your own device or browser storage.

This means:

  • Your Zelli data may only exist on the device and browser you used.
  • Your data may not automatically sync between devices.
  • Your data may be lost if you clear browser storage, uninstall the app, reset your device, lose your device or use a different browser.
  • You are responsible for backing up your own data.

Zelli may provide export and backup tools. You are responsible for creating, saving and protecting your own backup files.

6Backup files and exports

If you export a backup or CSV file, that file may contain the information you added to Zelli.

You are responsible for:

  • Where you save backup files
  • Who you share backup files with
  • Keeping backup files secure
  • Checking that backup files restore correctly

We are not responsible for loss, misuse or accidental sharing of exported files once they are created on your device.

7Demo data

Zelli may allow you to load demo data.

Demo data is example information only. It is not based on your real finances.

If you clear demo data, Zelli will attempt to remove the example data created for demonstration purposes.

You should check the app before adding real information to make sure demo data has been cleared if you no longer want it.

8Personal admin and sensitive information

Zelli may include features for storing personal admin notes, renewal details, document references or similar information.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, Zelli is not a secure password manager or encrypted document vault.

You should avoid storing highly sensitive passwords, security answers, full identity documents, bank login details or other information that could cause harm if someone accessed your device.

You are responsible for keeping your own device secure.

9Your responsibilities

When using Zelli, you agree to:

  • Use the app lawfully
  • Enter information honestly and carefully
  • Check important figures and dates yourself
  • Keep your device and backup files secure
  • Avoid using Zelli to store information you should keep in a more secure system
  • Avoid relying on Zelli as your only source of important financial information
  • Not misuse, copy, resell, reverse engineer or interfere with the app

10Money Boost

Money Boost provides general prompts and checklists that may help you think about ways to save more, grow more or keep more of your money.

Money Boost does not provide personalised advice.

Completing a checklist item does not mean that a particular action is suitable for you.

Some topics, including tax, pensions, investments, ISAs, mortgages and overpayments, can depend heavily on your personal circumstances. You should check official guidance or seek qualified advice before making important decisions.

11Calculators and estimates

Zelli may include calculators, projections, comparison tools, financial age estimates, financial health scores or similar features.

These tools are estimates only.

They may be based on simplified assumptions and may not include all relevant factors, such as:

  • Tax rules
  • Inflation
  • Interest rate changes
  • Investment risk
  • Fees
  • Penalties
  • Early repayment charges
  • Personal circumstances
  • Future changes in law or regulation

You should treat outputs as a guide only, not as advice or a guaranteed result.

12Third-party links and services

Zelli may include links to third-party websites, services, comparison sites, official guidance or other external resources.

We are not responsible for third-party websites or services.

If you click a third-party link, you leave Zelli and use that website or service at your own risk. Their own terms and privacy policies will apply.

We do not control third-party prices, offers, availability, accuracy, security or content.

13Availability and changes

We may update, change, suspend or remove parts of Zelli at any time.

We may also fix bugs, add features, remove features or change how features work.

We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but we do not guarantee that Zelli will always be available or that any particular feature will always remain available.

14Intellectual property

Zelli, including its design, branding, text, layout, code, icons, features and content, belongs to us or our licensors.

You may use Zelli for your own personal use.

You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, licence, reverse engineer or create a competing product from Zelli without our written permission, except where the law allows.

15Acceptable use

You must not use Zelli to:

  • Break the law
  • Harm, disrupt or interfere with the app
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data
  • Upload malicious code
  • Copy or scrape the app in bulk
  • Misrepresent Zelli or our relationship with you
  • Use Zelli commercially without permission

16Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any rights you have under consumer law.

Subject to that, Zelli is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We are not responsible for:

  • Financial losses caused by relying on app outputs
  • Incorrect data entered by you
  • Missed reminders or renewal dates
  • Lost local data
  • Lost backup files
  • Device failure
  • Browser storage being cleared
  • Decisions you make based on general information in the app
  • Third-party websites, products or services
  • Losses that were not reasonably foreseeable

You remain responsible for checking important information and making your own decisions.

17Consumer rights

These terms do not remove any legal rights you have as a consumer.

If the law gives you rights that cannot be excluded or limited, those rights still apply.

18Privacy

Your use of Zelli is also covered by our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains what information Zelli collects, how information is stored, and how your privacy is protected.

You should read the Privacy Policy together with these Terms of Use.

19Ending your use of Zelli

You can stop using Zelli at any time.

You can delete your Zelli data using the app’s reset/delete options, clearing your browser/app storage or uninstalling the app.

You should export a backup first if you want to keep a copy of your data.

20If we need to restrict access

We may restrict, suspend or stop access to Zelli if we reasonably believe that:

  • You have seriously breached these terms
  • Your use of Zelli creates risk for us, other users or the app
  • We need to do so for legal, security or technical reasons

21Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time.

If we make significant changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app or on the website.

By continuing to use Zelli after changes are made, you agree to the updated terms.

22Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you live in another part of the United Kingdom, you may also have rights under the laws of that part of the UK.
