2The short version
Zelli is designed so that the personal financial information you enter stays on your own device.
This includes things like your bills, income, savings, debts, budget, profile details, goals, personal admin entries, reminders and Money Boost checklist progress.
We do not currently provide user accounts, cloud sync, advertising, behavioural tracking or data selling.
Your Zelli data is not sent to us unless you choose to contact us and include information in your message.
3Information you enter into Zelli
You may choose to enter information such as:
- Income figures
- Bills and subscriptions
- Renewal dates and reminders
- Savings, pensions, investments, assets and debts
- Mortgage or property details
- Budget categories
- Personal profile details used for app features
- Money Boost checklist progress
- Notes, document references or personal admin entries
- Demo data, if you choose to load it
- Any other information you choose to add to the app
This information is stored locally on your device using your browser or app storage.
We do not receive, view or store this information on our own servers.
4Local storage and device storage
Zelli stores your app data on the device and browser you use to access it.
This means:
- Your data is kept on your device.
- Your data may not automatically appear on another phone, tablet or computer.
- If you clear your browser/app storage, delete the app, reset your device or lose access to your device, your Zelli data may be lost.
- You are responsible for keeping your own backup if you want to preserve your data.
Zelli provides backup and export tools so you can save a copy of your data. Backup files are created on your device and only go where you choose to save or send them.
5Backup and export files
If you export a backup or CSV file, the file may contain the information you have added to Zelli.
You are responsible for where you save, store or share that backup file.
Please keep backup files safe, especially if they include financial information, personal admin entries, document references or passwords.
If you import a backup file, Zelli reads the file you select and uses it to restore data on your device.
6Personal admin and sensitive information
Zelli may include personal admin or renewal features where you can store notes, reference numbers, document details or other useful information.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, this information is stored on your device and is not encrypted.
You should avoid storing highly sensitive information, critical passwords or information you would not want someone else with access to your device to see.
7Demo data
Zelli may allow you to load demo data so you can explore the app before adding your own information.
Demo data is example information only. It is not real financial information about you.
If you clear demo data, Zelli removes the example entries created for demonstration purposes.
8Technical information when the app loads
Like most websites and apps, when Zelli loads, some standard technical information may be processed by our hosting provider or infrastructure providers so the app can be delivered to your device.
This may include:
- IP address
- Browser type
- Device type
- Operating system
- Approximate date and time of access
- Basic server logs
This information is used to deliver the app, maintain security, diagnose technical issues and keep the service working.
We do not use this information to profile you or build a detailed picture of your finances.

If you click a third-party link, you will leave Zelli. That third-party website will have its own privacy policy and terms. We are not responsible for how third-party websites collect or use your data.
We do not share your Zelli app data with those third-party websites.

- Your name, if you provide it
- The contents of your message

14How long we keep information
Information stored inside Zelli on your device remains there until you edit it, export it, delete it, clear app/browser storage or remove the app.
Support emails and messages may be kept for as long as needed to respond to your request, maintain business records, resolve disputes, improve the app or comply with legal obligations.
Server logs and technical records are usually kept only for as long as needed for security, maintenance and troubleshooting.
15Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information with service providers who help us operate Zelli, such as:
- Website/app hosting providers
- Email providers
- Support or bug-reporting tools
- Technical infrastructure providers
These providers only process information as needed to provide their services to us.

Your core Zelli financial data is designed to remain on your own device unless you choose to export or share it.

- Ask us to delete information we hold about you
- Object to certain uses of your information

Because most Zelli data is stored only on your own device, we may not be able to access, correct or delete it for you. You can manage that data directly within the app by editing, exporting or deleting it.

18Deleting your Zelli data
You can delete your Zelli data from within the app using the delete/reset options.
You can also remove data by clearing your browser/app storage or uninstalling the app.
Before deleting data, consider exporting a backup if you want to keep a copy. Deleted local data may not be recoverable.
19Children
Zelli is not intended for children under 16.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.
20Security
We take reasonable steps to keep Zelli secure.
However, no app, website, device or storage method is completely secure.
Because Zelli stores data on your device, you should protect your own device with a passcode, biometric lock or other security measures. You should also be careful where you save backup files.

It does not provide financial, investment, mortgage, tax or legal advice.
Any calculators, comparisons, estimates, checklists or prompts are for general information only and may not reflect your personal circumstances.
